Dr Nosheen Hussain

Greetings! I’m Dr. Nosheen Hussain,  with a blend of academic rigor, storytelling flair, and a limitless love for history. After earning my PhD in Business and Behavioral Sciences in Italy (yes, the land of pasta and Renaissance art), I’ve returned with a renewed passion for education, research, and making meaningful contributions in the field of media, communication, psychology and business.

Since 2012, I’ve been a faculty member in the Media and Communication Studies Department at Sindh Madressatul Islam University, where I’ve taught, mentored, and occasionally convinced students that reading is better than binge-watching. I’ve worn multiple hats — from Associate Editor of the Journal of Social Sciences and Media Studies to Managing Editor of a monthly newspaper, and even as a Patron of the Art Society, where I helped students find their creative voices (and occasionally, mine).

I’m also an academic and corporate trainer, working with organizations to build skills in areas like gender equity, social media, and cybercrime — proving that there’s always something new to learn, whether you’re in a boardroom or a classroom. My research interests span across various domains, including media studies, gender studies, crowdfunding, social entrepreneurship, and the psychological impact of media on target audiences.

When I’m not navigating the intricacies of academia, you’ll find me traveling the world, collecting stories, and searching for the perfect cup of coffee. Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.’s challenge — “What are you doing for others?” — I aim to make every day a chance to educate and empower.

So, whether you’re here to connect, collaborate, or just curious, I hope this space offers a glimpse into my world. Let’s make learning engaging, impactful, and just a little bit fun!
