Scotland Diaries: A Taste of Biryani and Scottish Charm
My visit to Scotland was primarily for academic purposes, with Dundee University being the main stop. The media department there impressed me with its dynamic student activities and strong industry-academic linkages. The experience was enriched by meeting Asian students who greeted us with a warm welcome and a delicious lunch, complete with Biryani—a delightful treat, especially for us Karachiites!
Beyond the university, we also connected with people of Pakistani origin who are actively participating in local politics, contributing significantly to the community. It was inspiring to witness these international ties and see how they are shaping the city’s future.
Scotland exudes a sense of peace and tranquility, with its quiet, relaxing vibes. We took the opportunity to explore Dundee’s attractions and felt embraced by the warmth and charm of this beautiful city.
