Saudi Arabia: A Journey of Faith and Beyond
My visit to Saudi Arabia began as a pilgrimage, but I decided to enrich the experience by exploring beyond the sacred cities of Makkah and Madinah. I ventured into Taa’if, Badr, and the surrounding countryside, discovering a side of Saudi Arabia that felt both soulful and serene. Each step of my journey offered a deeper connection to the land, its history, and its people, while providing moments of quiet reflection and peace.
Saudi Arabia holds a history that spans over 1,400 years, with Makkah and Madinah serving as the cradle of Islamic civilization. Walking through these ancient lands, I felt connected to the stories of countless pilgrims and traders who traversed these routes.
People from every corner of the globe converged in these historic cities, united in faith and devotion. The spiritual atmosphere was unlike anything I had experienced beforeāan awe-inspiring scene of unity, harmony, and purpose. It was a powerful reminder of how faith transcends borders, bringing together diverse cultures and backgrounds into a single community.
It reminded me of my visit to Vatican City, where I saw a similar gathering of followers, all coming together in great numbers for a common purpose. There, too, I found a deep, shared spirituality that goes beyond words. My trip to Saudi Arabia left me with not just cherished memories, but a renewed appreciation for the ways in which our deepest beliefs can unite us, regardless of where we come from.
